Adding & Managing Your Products

Learn how to create compelling product listings, manage stock, and keep your catalogue organised.

Your products are the heart of your shop. A well-written listing with great photos can dramatically increase your conversion rate. This guide covers everything from creation to ongoing management.

Creating a New Product

  1. 1Navigate to Dashboard → Products → Add Product.
  2. 2Enter a clear, descriptive product name (e.g. "Handmade Clay Diya Set — Pack of 6" rather than just "Diya").
  3. 3Write a detailed description. Include materials, dimensions, care instructions, and what's included in the box.
  4. 4Set the price in ₹. This is the final price customers pay before the platform fee.
  5. 5Set stock quantity. Leave it blank for unlimited stock.
  6. 6Upload product images (up to 5). The first image is the main thumbnail shown in listings.
  7. 7Click Save Product.

Product Photo Best Practices

Photos are the single biggest factor in whether a customer buys or leaves. Follow these guidelines:

  • Use natural daylight whenever possible — avoid harsh flash.
  • Shoot against a clean white or neutral background for the main image.
  • Include at least one lifestyle shot showing the product in use.
  • Show scale — place a common object (like a coin or hand) next to the product so customers understand size.
  • Minimum resolution: 800×800 pixels. Square images look best in listings.
  • Show multiple angles — front, back, close-up of details, packaging.
💡

Products with 4–5 high-quality images get up to 3× more clicks than products with a single image.

Bulk Upload

If you have many products to add at once, use the Bulk Upload feature (Dashboard → Products → Bulk Upload). You can upload a CSV file with all product details and images in one go.

Managing Stock

Stock is automatically decremented each time an order is confirmed. When stock reaches 0:

  • The product is automatically deactivated — customers can no longer order it.
  • You'll see the product marked as "Out of Stock" in your dashboard.
  • To restock, go to the product edit page, update the stock quantity, and re-activate it.

Activating and Deactivating Products

You can manually activate or deactivate any product from the product list. Deactivated products are hidden from your storefront but remain in your dashboard. Use this when:

  • A product is temporarily unavailable.
  • You're preparing a seasonal or limited product before launch.
  • You want to run a flash sale and control exactly when it goes live.

Editing a Product

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → Products.
  2. 2Click the edit icon next to the product you want to update.
  3. 3Make your changes.
  4. 4Click Save. Changes go live immediately.
⚠️

Changing the price of a product does not affect already-placed orders. Only new orders will use the updated price.
