Creating Discount Coupons to Boost Sales

Discount coupons are one of the fastest ways to drive sales — especially for new shops or seasonal promotions. destin.bio lets you create and manage coupon codes directly from your dashboard.

Types of Coupons

Creating a Coupon

1. 1Go to Dashboard → Coupons → New Coupon.
2. 2Enter a memorable coupon code (e.g. DIWALI20, FIRST50). Codes are alphanumeric only.
3. 3Select the discount type: Percentage or Flat amount.
4. 4Enter the discount value.
5. 5Optional: Set a minimum order amount (e.g. valid only on orders above ₹499).
6. 6Optional: Set a maximum number of uses (e.g. only the first 100 customers can use it).
7. 7Optional: Set an expiry date.
8. 8Click Create Coupon.

Editing a Coupon

You can edit any existing coupon by clicking the pencil icon next to it. You can change the discount value, expiry date, and usage limits. The coupon code itself can also be updated.

Activating and Deactivating Coupons

Use the toggle button on each coupon to quickly enable or disable it. Deactivated coupons are rejected at checkout — useful for pausing a coupon temporarily without deleting it.

Promoting Your Coupons

• Post the coupon code in your Instagram story with a link to your shop.
• Send it via WhatsApp broadcast to your existing customers.
• Add it to your Instagram bio link description.
• Include it in your packaging as a card for repeat purchase incentive.
• Use it as a flash sale for 24 hours to create urgency.

Coupon Usage Tracking

Each coupon in your dashboard shows a "uses" counter (e.g. "14/100 uses"). This lets you see exactly how many customers have redeemed each coupon. When max uses is reached, the coupon is automatically blocked.
