Licences: When We Need One and When We Don't
FSSAI, CDSCO, AYUSH and others - which categories need a licence, and why you can keep selling while we verify.
Most sellers never need a licence. If you sell clothing, jewellery, home decor, accessories or beauty tools, there is nothing to do - you won't even see the Licences page prompt you.
Which categories need one

How it works here
- 1List your product as normal - it goes live immediately.
- 2If the category needs a licence, you'll see a gentle note and the Licences page will show what's needed.
- 3Go to Dashboard > Licences and enter the number.
- 4We verify it, usually within a day.
You are never blocked from selling while a licence is being verified. Other marketplaces make you wait for approval before you can list at all - we do not.
Why your FSSAI number appears publicly
FSSAI rules require the platform to display the licence number of any business selling food online. Once verified, your number shows in the product information section of your listings. This is a legal requirement, not a choice.
Changing a licence number sends it back for re-verification. Your products stay live throughout - nothing is taken down.
