Vacation / Pause Mode: Taking a Break

Pause new orders while you travel or restock — without closing your store or losing existing orders.

Going away, restocking, or just need a breather? Vacation mode pauses NEW orders while keeping your store page live, so buyers know you'll be back instead of finding a dead link.

How to turn it on

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → Settings → Vacation / Pause Mode.
  2. 2Optionally pick an auto-reopen date — your store reopens by itself on that day (leave blank to reopen manually).
  3. 3Optionally add a short message for buyers (e.g. "Restocking — back soon!").
  4. 4Click "Pause new orders". A banner confirms vacation mode is on.

What buyers see

Your storefront shows a friendly "on a short break" screen with your message and reopen date (if set). They can still track and view existing orders — they just can't place new ones until you're back.

What happens to your orders & billing

  • Existing orders are unaffected — keep shipping them from Orders as usual.
  • Only NEW orders are paused (this includes Cash on Delivery).
  • Your subscription keeps billing during vacation mode.
  • Before pausing, the settings card shows how many orders you still need to ship so nothing is forgotten.

Reopening

Reopen anytime with "Reopen my store now" (in Settings, or the "Reopen now" button on the dashboard banner). If you set an auto-reopen date, the store reopens automatically when it arrives — no action needed.

💡

Heading out for a festival or sale prep? Set the reopen date to the day you're back so your store wakes up on its own.
