Buyer Protection: Your Rights & What's Covered
A complete guide to how destin.bio protects buyers — dispute resolution, refund guarantees, and fraud protection.
Every order placed on destin.bio is protected by our Buyer Protection program. This means you can shop with confidence knowing your money is safe.
What Buyer Protection Covers
- Item not received — if your package never arrives and tracking confirms it's lost, you'll receive a full refund.
- Item significantly different from description — if the product you receive is materially different from what was advertised, you're eligible for a return and full refund.
- Damaged item — if the product arrives damaged due to shipping, you're eligible for a refund or replacement.
- Seller non-response — if the seller doesn't respond to a legitimate return request within 48 hours, the return is automatically approved by the system.
Damaged in Transit — How to Report
If your product arrives damaged due to courier mishandling, you must report it within 48 hours of delivery:
- 1Take clear photos of the damaged product immediately — before discarding any packaging.
- 2Photograph the outer packaging too (crushed box, wet package, torn wrapping).
- 3Go to your order tracking page and submit a return request.
- 4Select "Item damaged / defective" as the reason.
- 5Describe the damage clearly in the details field.
- 6Submit within 48 hours of delivery — claims after 48 hours may not be accepted.
Do NOT discard the original packaging until your return is fully resolved. The packaging condition is critical evidence for transit damage claims.
Always photograph your package BEFORE opening it. If the outer box is already damaged on arrival, this proves the damage happened during shipping — not after delivery.
What Is NOT Covered
- Change of mind — you ordered and then decided you don't want it.
- Sizing or colour preference — subjective preferences are not covered unless the seller's listing was factually inaccurate.
- Damage caused by the buyer after delivery.
- Items returned outside the seller's stated return window.
How the Dispute Process Works
- 1You raise a dispute on your order tracking page.
- 2Both you and the seller are notified.
- 3Each party presents their evidence (photos, descriptions, tracking data).
- 4destin.bio admin reviews all evidence within 48–72 hours.
- 5Admin makes a final, binding decision.
- 6If ruled in your favour — full refund is issued automatically.
- 7If ruled against you — no refund, seller's payout is released.
Fraud Protection
destin.bio has built-in fraud detection for both buyers and sellers:
- All payments are processed by Razorpay — India's most trusted payment gateway.
- Payment amounts cannot be manipulated — our system verifies every payment against the order total.
- Sellers must provide photographic evidence to dispute a return — protecting honest buyers from bad-faith rejections.
- Buyers' refund details are verified (UPI ID validated) before a return is processed — protecting sellers from misdirected refunds.
