How to Request a Return or Refund

Step-by-step guide to initiating a return, providing refund details, and understanding the refund timeline.

If you're not satisfied with your order or received something different from what was described, you can request a return. Here's how the process works.

Return Eligibility

Returns are subject to the seller's return policy, which is displayed on their storefront and at checkout. Common return reasons include:

  • Wrong item received (different product or variant than ordered).
  • Damaged or defective product.
  • Product significantly different from the description.
  • Missing items in the package.

Not all sellers accept returns for change-of-mind or sizing issues. Always check the seller's return policy before purchasing.

Important: Return Conditions

Before submitting a return, please understand the following conditions:

  • Your return request will be reviewed by the seller within 48 hours. If the seller doesn't respond, it will be automatically approved.
  • Once approved, a pickup courier will be arranged to collect the product from you.
  • The seller will inspect the returned product upon receipt.
  • Refund will only be processed if the product is in its original condition — unused, undamaged, with all tags and packaging intact.
  • If the product received by the seller is damaged, tampered with, different from what was shipped, or empty — your return will be rejected and no refund will be issued.

How to Request a Return

  1. 1Go to destin.bio/track/[your-order-id] or log in to your buyer account.
  2. 2Scroll to the "Returns" section on your order page.
  3. 3Click "Request Return".
  4. 4Read the return policy disclaimer carefully.
  5. 5Select the reason for your return from the dropdown.
  6. 6Describe the issue in detail — be specific and factual.
  7. 7Enter your refund details: UPI ID (preferred) or bank account number + IFSC.
  8. 8Submit your request.

Having photos of the issue (damage, wrong item, missing parts) makes your return request much stronger and speeds up the process.

Providing Your Refund Details

You must provide your bank details when requesting a return — this is required to process your refund:

  • UPI ID — fastest option (e.g. yourname@upi). We'll verify the UPI ID and show your account name before you submit.
  • Bank Account — account number + IFSC code + account holder name.

What Happens After You Submit

  1. 1The seller reviews your return request within 48 hours (auto-approved if no response).
  2. 2If approved — a pickup courier is arranged to collect the product from your address. You'll receive the seller's return address and AWB tracking details.
  3. 3You must ship the product back within 15 days of approval, otherwise the return will be auto-closed.
  4. 4Once the seller receives and inspects the item, they mark it as "received".
  5. 5Your refund is processed — timeline depends on your payment method (see below).

If the Seller Rejects Your Return

If the seller rejects your return request, you'll receive a WhatsApp and email notification with the rejection reason. If you believe this is unfair, you can raise a dispute:

  1. 1Go to your order tracking page.
  2. 2Click "Raise a Dispute" in the dispute section.
  3. 3Describe the issue clearly and attach any photos.
  4. 4destin.bio admin will review both sides and make a final decision within 48–72 hours.
